It was a crazy weekend as I prepared for Boston where I’ll be speaking on the topic of the ROI from Social Networking and sitting on a panel covering the creation of employment value prop and internal branding. Before leaving in the morning I had several jobs to do for the ‘real boss’ since I was to be out of town for a few days. The Redhead (that’s the ‘real boss’) needed crazy stuff done like shelves fixed, the yard work done, and some gutters repaired. Geez she’s needy.
What I did manage to get done was a quick edit of Spike Lee’s time with the college students that attended the Texas Diversity & Leadership Conference. This is literally the first session I’d ever recorded with the Flip Ultra and I’m pretty happy with it outside of all of the surrounding sounds that make the speakers sound a bit muffled at times. It’s still something that you can understand although for a few questions you’ll need to listen closely. My favorite part is, of course, where [[Spike Lee]] informs a young student that he doesn’t shop at her place of employment because of the lack of color found in their catalog.
My editing skills will get better – but in the meantime this video is candid, relaxed, and has some good dialog. Enjoy.
