Ahh, the joy that is micro-blogging just doesn’t get any better than Twitter. (at least this week, right?)
For those of you that aren’t ‘twittering’ you’ll be happy to know that Twitter is yet another way to communicate those incredibly important things you’re doing… right down to the minute you’re doing them – and they make it as easy as sending a simple text message from a phone or IM application such as [[GoogleTalk]]. Twitter’s “WHY?” page lays it out as simply as any other could:
Why? Because even basic updates are meaningful to family members, friends, or colleagues—especially when they’re timely.
- Eating soup? Research shows that moms want to know.
- Running late to a meeting? Your co–workers might find that useful.
- Partying? Your friends may want to join you.
Barring some issues up front with twitter status and server response issues, Twitter has been a pretty slick addition to any blogoholic’s arsenal. What’s better lately is that Twitter has started a new blog to help share what’s going on under the hood at Twitter. Looking for API code or tools or ne practices and you’ll definately want this link added to your favorites.Â
The latest blog entry? Tracking a stolen iPhone… via Twitter?
Check it out here.
